I've got a 1994 Ford Ranger & the wheel cylinder went out on my. The problem I'm having is that the wheel cylinder takes a 1/4" brake line but a 3/16" brake line won't screw into the T. Could anyone please help me figure out what to do?

Usually the wheel cylinder takes a 3/16 standard fitting and brakeline, the tee takes a 3/16 brake line with a 1/4 inch fitting correct? The 1/4 inch fitting is a special fitting that has a 3/16 id but has 1/4 inch threads on the od.

You can go to the store and they usually have brass adapters like this. The link below has the Dorman number you can use at the store to see if they have one.

Get a brass adapter is the easiest option, but you have a few.

I moved your post over the the brake forum...

If the original line nut is savable... cut the line install the old line nut and double flare the line at the correct length.
