1994 Ford ranger intake

Hey i know this forum is old but i have been shopping searching and have devised an overall intake system that i think would work.. I have a 1994 4.0 V6 4x4 and have determined that the vacuum lines could be my only fault. I got an adaptor right off the maf sensor assembly which attaches to a weapon r dragon filter with a heat shield around it, then connects to a ram air kit induction which i want to run right back down to the stock induction or mount right behind my headlight. I ran into the issue with the vacuum hose are what would happen if i just plugged it. My truck is about to roll oer to 100,000 and i am not trying to cause further complications. I see you put a hole in the filter between the sensor, how did you properly attach that vacuum line..

This is perfect i really would appreciate if you could help me out.

the vac lines that go to the airbox run a blend door that sucks warm air off the exhaust manifold, you can trace it back to the motor, remove the line, and cap the port without any ill effects.
