I have a 94 ranger 4.0 4x4 with a 5 speed. I think my clutch is going out or I have air in one on my cylinders master or slave. What are some signs of these problems? My clutch used to be in the middle of the pedal but lately it is getting near the top and it's easier to push than when I first got it. 6-7 months ago. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hey there,

Sounds like one of the components could be on its way out. Are you losing clutch hydraulic fluid at all? My experience had always been once the petal starts getting soft/mushy and the clutch release point starts relocating, about time to tear it apart.

Then again, if you aren't really losing fluid, you may be able to squeak out a few more months out of it.

Hope this helps.

I'm not losing any fluid when I got it the fluid was low but we topped it off and haven't lost any since
