Hey broskie, thanks ! Appreciate it. The cherry bombs def have that old school hotrod sound. They are loud as hell when on it full throttle but surprisingly ok at a 70mph cruise. If u get the longer ones it'll might be alil less loud on that 351 [emoji106] what heads are u running ? Dig the truck!

thanks, I'm running the stocks heads for now. Maybe down the road. I just did the intake, cam and a few other things since I had it all apart.

My friend has 2 12" subs in the back of his 93, I personally believe it's way to much bass for such a small cab. Unless you've got some great meds and highs, it's too much.

I was thinking it might be too much....but then asked myself when is too much bass too much bass ???
The 4 way 6x8s are hella clear and impressed the hell out of me for what I have into it the 60 watts rms powers them well. Either set up should work great, just have to see when I get it all. Should be 2 weeks or so.

Nice mang, 351 in a ranger is bad ass so stock heads still cool as hell.

Im trying to get him to get better speakers for it because he only got 6x8 2 way speakers... Haha.

Just a quick update. Ordered tires today. Had to make a decision to not get the nittos, due to cost.
Instead, picked 245 45 17 all around in these general gmaxx:

I liked the tread pattern and my local tire shop had good prices so should have them on this weekend :)

Guna hopefully get the system finished up too.

Can't wait brotha to see the wheel combo . What's the size of the wheels again

I just wanna go fast [emoji48]

Thanks broskie! Me either!?! Hopefully it'll help plant it alil better than the current AT's on it. Wheels are 17x8. I wanted to go for a 275 out back but read that would possibly be too much for an 8 Inch rim. I kept it 245 since 255s were not really available. Plus, I can rotate them now. I am guna try n get the drive shaft this weekend as well.
Pretty sure my carrier bearing is shot, hella vibes in my passenger seat at certain rpms.

Going one piece like me . and on the ss I have 275/45/20's . The stock wheel is a 20x8 no problems for yrs now [emoji1360]

A tomorrow can't come fast enough update :)
Wheels are at shop. They'll be mounted n ready for tomorrow.
Also purchased the subs, amp n wire kit so that ish will be done tomorrow also. Very stoked.
Also, I went n got the hardware to do the shackle flip. Upon further inspection I found I may be lucky in that it has new shackles on it, with that, they also installed new bolts so I'm hoping it all comes apart easy enough to have done tomorrow as well...everything was soaked in PB blaster earlier today.
Supposed to be in 5os here tomorrow so I am pumped to say the least. Oh in other news, I got new alt belt on it and as its been cold up here the battery has lost juice. It's on charger over night but if it don't hold new one it is. Till tomorrow.

Beautiful day here in nj today, almost hit 60 I think. Enabled me to get to work :)
So I started out with running wires and getting amp hooked up.
Got subs in, however I'll need to go back n re wire the subs since they were done correctly from po. There in and sounds good tho:

I faced em fwd after this pic and it def made it sound lil better. When I do new carpets I'll add some sound deadiner to the cab as it rattles pretty good.

Then went n got my tires:

Now as u can see, I def need to lower it. Way to much space between the wheel wells n tire.
It did made a sick difference in handing. No more vibrations either so very happy on that front. [emoji1] The changed also jumped my rpms up in the highway cruise so I may actually opt for some bigger tires out back later down the road.

Tomorrow I am hoping to go over it n clean it decent before heading to island dragway for their opener....may even see what it'll do ;)

Great job  and thanks for taking the time to post pics... :icon_thumby:

Man brotha I've been waiting for you to throw the wheels on . Now on to the drop my friend . Once it's starts coming down and handles even better it will drive like a dream

Ok so it's been quiet here as I'm plugging away on parts n just driving it around. So as for updates, it's been driving well. Runs like a raped ape and is super fun. I'm really enjoying it so far and seems others are too..get lots of looks n [emoji106] [emoji106] in this beast haha.

This weekend it got an oil change and new plugs along with some easy interior leds.

As for some ish I'm working on, it's been a constant alternator belt issue. Keep losing n breaking them. Not sure why as everything is lined up and tight...so extras it is. Further more, since I was out driving n losing belts, my lil old battery took a shit, literally died on my way home on rt 80... not sure sure how it kept my fuel, fan n iginition running to get me home. Today I tossed a new yellow top optima in:

Since I plan on lowering it asap, I'm guna get the junk yard parts this coming weekend. I guess when I called last time they didn't pull it off the truck so today I called and confirmed they'll have em for saturday:

95 ranger steering knuckles with brakes.
95 ranger gauge cluster.....I don't feel like hacking the original up for my next mod.
98 super cab 1 pc drive shaft. Said it could be steel or aluminum.

Hopefully in next few weeks, order up the jdm 3/4 drop kit n shocks. Also ordering up the hellwig sway bar upgrade to install when I do everything else.

I also picked up some material to do finish up my heater...good ol autozone:

So while out n about I learned the hard way why u need a tool set for on the road, today I took care of that and got my dad's OG tool box he had in his first red ranger. (84)

Kind of nostalgic since I remember him using it as a kid to work on the truck. I stuffed it with some goodies and tucked it away:

I actually wrapped it tight in there so it don't rattle around. Hopefully I'll be prepared for next time.

So that's it for now.
