First thing I did was a tune up and washer her up good. Here is a picture of the ranger the day I got it.

Next thing I did was drive it till the driveshaft snapped, fixed that and back on the road.

This is a slow build because Im 17 and work a Dairy Queen and have no money haha. Stay tuned for more exciting modifications!

Let me know what yall think!

Thanks,
Zach

I feel ya on building slowly as I work at McDonalds. I will say not a bad truck for the price looks lik you got your moneys worth out of it. I also agree, black rims.

nice start......and nice color :icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

x2 on the black wheels.......

I understand about the slow pace of mods....although I don't work at DQ, I do have a wife and 2 teenage daughters :icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

keep it up, and keep us posted....

I understand the slow build deal, Im 17 and work at Papa Murphys

Good thing Im making food, all this talk about restraunts is making me hungry.

Sorry to thread jack, on with the build!!!!!!!

when i was 17 and working at papa johns pizza just keeping my car in running condition was a big enough chore, mod money was out of the question. it was a gm product though, so that explains that........

haha seems like fast food is where the teen employment is at. Not an ideal job but hell, a paycheck is a paycheck. Just got accepted into college, the Ford ASSET program so now I need to come up with 5 grand for tools plus I need new tires bad. Haha oh well, when the money comes it will happen.

New Tires!

Got some new tires!

Rims arent rusty, just dirty!

Nice. How much of a dog is the 3.0? My dad just bought a 98 with it and it has 31 inch BF Goddrich A/T tires and my 2.8 can out do it in a drag race? Only thing about his is its an auto tranny (yuck).

I honestly havent felt a difference. If anything the acceleration is smoother due to my tires not being out of round.

Sweet good luck with your build. I really liked my ranger and really miss it now that i sold it. The guy i sold it to is my cousins friend he wrecked it last winter and it has been sitting since i should talk to him about it and get it back. I still have jamesduff extended radius arms for it, james duff drop brackets, and some camburg 5.5" coils. I had big plans then the motor went south and i lost interest, now im regretting it.

Yeah, I love this truck. Cant wait to get the money to do the body lift, front bumper and other things I have planned for it, but as of right now I will just drive her the way she is.

I still have to get that grille on and the hood deflector.

Really love thse new tires, have some really nasty mixed freezing snow sleet ice on the ground and these tires are beast.
