1993Ranger4x4's Build

Your truck looks pretty sweet! Way to go for not doing a body lift:icon_thumby:

Thanks!

Its great, absolutely love driving it. Biggest ranger around here, so its fun!

time to update your avatar! haha

hey man very nice truck.
im 17 too, making just enough money to pay for gas and saving to sas my 2nd gen explorer

Thanks for the comments, its tough working with little to no budget, but its even more rewarding when we are able to make it work. I have under 2500 into this truck (including purchase price) and I am pretty darn proud of where it is today!

Looks awesome dude looks like a 6 inch skyjacker??? and some 33's and mabey some wheel spacers? Got any more pics??

Yep that about sums it up! The wheel spacers arent by choice, however they do give it a real nice stance. The wheels are off of an f150 with the 5x5 bolt pattern so I just got adapters to save me some cash.

I dont have any more pics right now but Ill hopefully get some later this week. Only problem im suffering from now is the CSWS or Crooked Steering Wheel Syndrome. Thinking I might do a cheater fix, pop off the steering wheel, gind down two plines so the master spline will fit and just make the wheel straight since the ruck is in alignment and has no wierd shimmies or shakes or vibrations or pulls or anything!

Just a little Pic Whorin' :)))

I go to a tech/ag school in new york and the advanced chassis lab built a RTI ramp. They asked me to bring my truck for their presentation. SO far my truck holds the record for most articulation. 19" in the front and 29" in the rear.

nice flex. i have wanted to try a ramp and see what i get lol. but first i wanna get some soft coils so it flexs a little better lol

What did that lift run ya all together? planning to get my ranger lookin like that hopefully....happy wheelin to ya!

Lift cost me about 450 in total. But everything I bought was used except for the drop pitman arm.

An update on the Ranger:

The tired 3.0 died. With 118k miles it blew one headgasket. Oil pump appears to have failed and the gear is stripped off of the distributor.

I picked up a good rebuildable core out of a taurus for 60 bucks. After machining the heads and honing the cylinders. Replacing everything that was wore out. And a new clutch, its like a whole new truck.

nice build. how hard was it to do the lift? I've been thinking of doing a small, maybe 3-4" lift for mine.

Next project was dual exhaust for the truck:

Needs a bath badly. Also need to do something with that rear bumper.

Thats all for now. Also installed a bunch of blue lights on the ranger since im in the Fire Department. Pics/Vids of those at a later time.
