1993 Splash build

It looks solid, I like the idea of trying something different it just seems like when one side moves it will pull/push the other side with it to compensate for the slight changes in length. Good work so far, I am interested to see how well it works on your rig.

Thanks dude! Mean a lot coming from you. I used a little thicker tubing than most people would have, that's where the clearance problems are coming into play. The more I play with it, the more I think I'm going to put a small bend in the driver side tube to make up some clearance. Make it in an "S" shape if you would.

I'll update this tomorrow.

Clearanced my steering. Have plenty of room at full bump now.

Crawlin, you mentioned you were worried about the forces applied on this setup. This setup is very simular to the TTB's setup except the pivot point is moved towards the middle of the vehicle.

Yeah it does look similar, I have little/no experience with that setup as I ran superrunner steering on my TTB so Im not sure how your steering will react, just making observations based on the pics. Is it driveable yet?

I hope the steering works out for you. I've heard a few people say they didn't like the stonecrusher style.

Almost. I'm having trouble bleeding the brakes for some reason. I get a nice stream of fluid. With the vehicle turned off, I have a decently stiff pedal. As soon as I turn the vehicle on, there's no pedal. I'm beginning to think it's the brake booster or MC.

It's not the booster.

Are all your recently unhooked fittings dry? I've had them already where I think they are tight enough, and it feels great with the engine off, but once it gets power assist the fittings start to leak.

On a related note, have you thrown your old steering linkages in the scrap heap yet?

I'll double check all fittings.

I sold my linkages for $30. Had a brand new $90 MOOG draglink on it too...

Flex shot!!! ( I need to trim the axle shaft window more). My jack maxed out before I could max the suspension out.

Crap. I got the ones that I bought with the axle in and found the one is all bent up. It's keeping everything from lining up right.

Wow, i just read this whole thread. You do amazing work! I have a few questions though, where did you order the front EB coils? And where can i get a set of the lower spring retainers for the EB coils? I want to do the same thing to my '94 Ext cab 4.0. Thanks Brinker88.

EB coils are from BCBroncos.com. Coil retainers are homemade.

Thanks for the compliments and good luck with your build.

Adam, found out that the fitting going into the master cylinder was wrong and stripped the threads. :annoyed: I was planning on swapping out to a Expo MC, but not this soon. Looks like it's getting done now.

Truck is almost finished. Just have to finish up the brakes, change the waterpump, and finish fine-tuning the alignment. :yahoo: Cannot WAIT!!!

Ill send you my old Ranger master for the cost of shipping.lol
