1993 Splash build

I eish I had an ext cab. I had to do the opposite 6-4 :annoyed: what are you doing for the rear susp

Bastard pack leaves. 8" arch. Used Explorer main and 2 leaves and incorp. 3 OE leaves into them.

Oe? Original equip? Haha. And you expect to have flex after all those... Why not 64" chevy

Because I want to get this thing back on the road. In time, yes, the 63 chebby swap WILL happen. But until that time, I'll stick w/ the bastard packs. I shouldnt have any trouble getting good flex out of them. I used very thin multiple leaves (minus the expo main which is fairly thick). That's all deaver springs are if you look. They have twice the amount of leaves an OE spring has but they use thinner leaves and flex great.

I have set of stock chebby leaves if your interested. 50 bucks.

I will prob be doing the same in the future. Might get the springs arched to like 6-8 then shackle flip so I have all that travel in the rear but still have the lift I need. I wish my front springs weren't such a bastard set else I could know which ones to buy for better ppi. I'm at max camber on the pass side but the drivers didn't change. Oh well

Well ordered my FA600 Pitman arm today along with new body mount bushings (Mine are missing. There goes' $250 down the drain....

down the drain implies that you threw your moolah away IMO, that $$ went to a good cause lol

I'll spend $200 now so I dont have to drop a grand on tires anytime soon. Yea, definitely money well spent.

Total vs advertised. Advertised has to be right I mean its on the internet. and we know everything on the ibternet is true!

^ Yup. Well, I got my shocks tonight. Should be perfect for my application. I'll have around 7" of uptravel (Have to extend my bumpstops to hit at 6") and the rest is all downtravel.

Things are coming along nicely. I dont mean to bust your bubble, but you wont have near as much travel as you think you will. With a stock width D35, your center u joint is going to bind like a muthafawka. You really need to have someone spin your pinion while you cycle your beams with the axleshafts in place (both beams drooped, both at bump, one drooped one bumped, and vice versa). Find the points at which you bind and strap it at that, which I can almost guarentee wont be nearly as much as you think you have. Just want to save you some headache in the long run.

Nate

Thanks for the heads up bro. I'm definitely going to be double checking EVERYTHING. I'm not looking for anything CRAZY, just more than normal. I will also be clearancing the axleshaft slightly so I can gain some more movement.
