1993 Splash build

I know the two holes are closer together on my 75 EB lower buckets. The ones on my 78 were about 1/2" further apart.

Well here's my problem. The EB coil diameter is too large. There's not enough clearance on the beam to center the coil over the stud.

I have two options:

1.) Cut & clearance beam and reweld
2.) Make a spacer plate (1" tall) to get the desired clearance

Option 1 would be the the most Ideal bc I dont want to go any taller than I have to. Im just kind of on the edge of cutting up my beams and replating them with 1/4"

Option 2 is easier but like stated above, I dont want or need the extra lift I'd gain.

Need some help here guys. What should I do?

Oh and here's my conversion Idea for the EB lower coil mounting

my recomendation would be to scrap the TTB build and go with rockwells and 40's.....but that's just me

I cant begin to justify having that large of a truck. Plus, doesnt your wiener all but dissapear once you go past a 35? :icon_twisted:

no, it only disappears if you use a sports car to make up for wiener size. you know, like a corvette or a ferrari

Coming along good. I would take and make that adapter using at least a 2" diameter .250 wall pipe/tube for better support. You can always cut half a coil to lower your stance...

I've got big rig alignment collars 3/8" thick x 1" tall :D

Well, I usually go with a 32 or 34 (depending on material) and it is no where near disappearing. I don't think 35 is going to be the line.

Sometimes I feel like I'm living that one Larry the Cable Guy joke.

i ordered lower buckets from thatguy
he built me some and shipped then

Okay, photo sluts, here's the progress I made today. Got all my new brake lines ran, coil buckets welded and installed, drop brackets installed, shock towers installed, passenger beam clearanced, and the front axle/radius arms installed. There's going to be a LOT of flex. With the arms and beams installed, the knuckle lays on the floor, leaving 26.5" of room for the coil :shok: Im going to need longer shocksor limiting straps........I also have to remake my crossmember. There's not enough room for the driveshaft to drop. Lesson learned.

Enjoy:

Well I might consider putting a B2 body on the Ranger and bobbing the bed if I find out I need a cab.
