Well, upon further investigation, I cant use the 1 ton T.R.E's. No body makes a 1" 18tpi weld in tube adapter and no one in the area has a tap in that size. So...it looks like I'll be ordering new T.R.E.'s :annoyed:

Run rodends. Mine have over 20k on them and are still tight as new. They are only like 10 bucks each to replace once you have the bung and jam nut.

If you call bf I'm sure they will make you the tube adapter you need. Are you sure its not 7/8 x 18 tpi?

Called everywhere. NO ONE makes them. So, Im ordering the right shit. All the people who sell "1 ton steering kits" actually sell 3/4" ton kits with the 1 ton taper. All I'm out is $40.00. I'll throw them on CL for $30.00. Someone w/ a Chevy will want them for that price. That way Im only out $10.00

Can you return them for a credit and claim you ordered the wrong part? I've done that with success of 100% credit...

SVT

I can return only two of them ( one was a non returnable part ) and then the shipping is the same amount as what I paid for the damn things.

I paid less than $25.00 for 3 T.R.E's then $22.50 or so for shipping so it really doesnt make sense to try and return them.

So much for that idea...where did you buy em, eBay?

SVT

Hmm, thanks. I looked at eBay for them, and believe it or not the local 3 had all of them under 75 and a lifetime warranty :shok:

Not much to update on. Shocks arrived, T.R.E's arrived, and I will be plating my radius arms here tonight or tomorrow, depending on whether I get more MIG wire.

Skyjacker drop brackets arrived today. How can you tell the difference between Class I and Class II brackets? I ordered class I brackets but the driver side beam drop bracket has Class II right on it...?

Crossmember is done minus a 1/2" clearance window for the driveshaft and rounding the sharp edges off on the frame mounts.

Thanks bro. Slow and steady.

Does anyone know the difference between Class I and Class II skyjacker drop brackets?
