1993 Splash build

Buy quality, cry once, buy crap, cry every day.

FWIW....on my 5.0 B2 I used Skyjacker Jeep XJ 6" Softrides that are listed as 240lb springs. Truck rode like a Lincoln on the street but would lean alot in the turns even with my dual DUff front shock setup,no swaybar. However on the trail the truck work flawlessly and was pretty much unstoppable.

Thanks dude! Looks great. How much lift did you achieve with the 6" coils on the BII and 5.0L?

I'm not sure on that. But, there are others here who know I build overkill and that it's safe. PA lift laws say NOTHING about modifying suspension or steering though so I'll be fine.

And your truck should NOT have failed for an aftermarket intake...

I agree. But the reason I was given is that my model of Ranger has a valve on the intake to draw warm air off the header in extremely cold conditions to stop the throttle body from freezing over. This was apparently important, but until I took the intake off, the wouldn't sticker it... :annoyed:

Well yea, that's an important emissions component. What you do is run a rubber line into your intake. That's what I did.

This is how it sat with 4" RBV Skyjacker Softride leafs and Belltech shackles in rear and the XJ 6" coils up front. No bodylift and on 35's. Never really measured it tho.

So about 6 inches of lift. Very nice! Thanks again. Since I have a BL, Im sticking with 4" suspension so it doesnt sit too high.
