1993 ranger 4x4 spindles

Is the salvage yard the only source for replacement spindles, I need one for each side. Are both sides interchangeable (just the removable spindle part)?

'90-'97, left & right, D35 spindles (the part the wheel bearings ride on & get bolted to the knuckle) are all interchangeable

I didn't make it home until late last night. I will check first thing after work today while Im out at the shop. IIRC they were in good shape, I pulled them to sell to another member who fell off of the planet before sending payment....

Checked them. One looks perfect, one has a crappy first thread. I'll post pics here in a bit

The nut threads on, but its stiff to turn until it passes through.

You can just file/grind that first thread down so the nut starts on the second thread. Just be careful when you start the nut so you don't cross thread it like the first guy did.
