What units control or have inputs to the fuel pump? I`ve changed tank fuel pump, relay, frame fuel filter, ignition control module, computer, fuse, egr valve, and timing belt.
This is a great looking little standard cab truck that I can drive about 3 miles and it just quits. When i turn the iginition switch off and back on it drives about 30seconds and dies again. It runs rough for about 10 seconds before it dies. Then it runs hardly above an idle going back to the house.
I have run run vacumn test on all the vac operated units and there are no leaks in the diaphrams.
The truck does not blow fuses, it just dies.
When I replaced the fuel pump, I took about 10-15 ounces of water out of the tank and hand cleaned and dried the tank with compressed air.
I only have $500 involved in buying the truck but actual parts costs so far are more than I paid for the truck.
One unit I need the resistance specs for is the egr control solenoid. I`m reading about .2 of an amp on a Fluke meter.
