Hey there.

I have a 1992 XLT Standard cab with the awesome 60/40 split bucket seats. I love the design of these original velour seats however they are 33 years old now and really need replacing. However I can't find anything anywhere that fits my seats. They look like the ones in 93's but all those center console/arm rests look like they open up, where mine do not. Anyone have any leads on something for my particular truck? Doesn't seem like these seats were to common on 92's.

seat covers, or reupholster?
only 2 places I found that did seat covers that were more than generic - guy on ebay ... I swapped to explorer seats so deleted the bookmark, but a quick search should find him - look for custom seat cover 89-92 ranger (don't use "second gen" cause like everyone else outside of TRS he has no idea what gen is what). 90% of the 2nd gens I see in the junkyard have the same 60/40 velour as you and I (used to) have.

durafit was the name of the guy who does amazon (restocking fee as much as the product)

and Elevn4NinetyNine is the ebay seller that does custom covers that look sharp... unfortunately I can't tell you how good they are because I found a set of explorer eddie bauer buckets that were perfect except one cigarette burn and a center console one weekend so pulled the trigger on that.

Looking at reupholster.

reupholster was way out of my budget... some careful shopping at the junkyard was more my price... expect to pay $500 or more for reupholster and $25-$100 junkyard or person 2 person someone selling em on facebook marketplace etc.... my junkyard is $25/seat without airbags, so I am the extreme low end of that range.... more realistic would be starting $50 / pop easy. those custom covers were like $90..... I didn't like the fact I had no cupholders and I love coffee - have one in my hand all the time just about.

Somewhere in the Northwest is a company Oregon or Washington that sells factory fabric. I had a link to it at one time and now I can't find it. Getting it professionally re done will cost a fortune. Keep an eye out on marketplace and boneyards. Sometimes one will pop up there.
