My fuel pump doesn't come on when the key is turned on. Tested fuel pump relay, eec relay, jumpered inertia switch. Replaced fuel pump relay, fuel pump still not coming on. Jumped battery power straight to fuel pump, and the pump did not come on. Replaced fuel pumpand it is still not coming on with the key on. Many help would be appreciated

Sounds like the old and the new pump are good but don’t come on when installed in the tank. Must be a mounting issue or nearby wiring. Do you get power at the pump connection when the key is turned on? Careful about sparks with gas fumes near.

I Agree I am about to start trouble shooting the same issue when i get back on a 91'. My dad has a Ranger graveyard at his house.

Edit: this is on frame rail high pressure pumps. Probably doesn't apply in your case. Frame rail pumps were used 86, 87, and maybe 88.
I've had problems with the connectors at the fuel pump not being tight enough. The connectors under the black rubber boots right beside where the fuel line connects. Now I test the pump without the wiring hooked up, as in on the bench. I found that 2 of my pumps that I thought were bad were just fine.
