First off hello guys an gals, hope all is well with all of you. Hope you don't mind helping me out, because I have an emergency. You see my truck (make and model in title) was handed down to me from my momma, and I don't want to get rid of it no matter what. Please help me figure out what else I can do to save her without forking over an arm and a leg. Not trying to be cheap, but I'm certainly not the richest gal in the world, and ain't aiming to be. So your help in this matter would be much obliged. Thank You!

I need to understand why I'm pressing the gas pedal and she wont go. She'll get in gear but wont go. It has been puzzling me something serious lately. Mostly because a dear friend had told me that if the transmission is bad it wont change gears. So since it does that may not be the issue here. Could be wrong just wanna make sure.

Is it an automatic transmission? When you press the gas pedal and the truck doesn't accelerate, do the rpm's go up?

If so, it sounds like the transmission is slipping. Have you checked the transmission fluid level?

If it has a manual transmission, the clutch could be worn out.
