1989 FX4 BII, resto-mod project

i'm pretty sure i have that one. but I am havin one helluva time finding the center lift bracket. last place to check is in my bro's garage upstair's. it's really botherin me cuz i'm hopin i didnt accidentally ship it to the scrap yard still attached to the axle.

the bolt pattern adapters came in yesterday and i dug out the 79 and took the wheels off her and bolted it all up on the ranger to see what they are like. im in love with it

um... HELL YES!
went to the store tonight to pick up some bondo for the b2 cause i was gonna shave the emblems, seen this baby at the back of the shelf tucked away, 8500lb motomaster winch, it was on for $100 off. so i walked out of the store with this, brought it home welded up some brackets and wired it up.

took off my push bar and done some more welding on it today. i was amazed at how cheap steel is, i bought 7 feet of 2"x1/4" square steel, 2 feet of 2"x1/4" flat bar, 5 grade 8 bolts with 5 lock washers and 10 regular washers and 5 nuts. all of that came to $28 tax in

also done some wheelin in the ranger. got stuck here in this spot because the front tire was burried and the rear tire was off the ground so she wasnt getting any traction just spinning in the air. if i had a posi rear she would of came out of it for sure but since the tires are only temporary, i wont worry about it.

you just wanted to get stuck so you could use the new winch:icon_cheers:

haha nah i didnt use the winch on the ranger, the winch and pushbar are one the b2, just felt like wheelin around the ranger. but i did try to get the b2 stuck to try out the winch haha.

and today i think i am gonna swap front axles around in the b2 and ranger, so ill have a d35 in the b2, and d28 in the ranger lol

That aint worth the trouble. Just get another D35.

that sounds like a gigantic waste of time and energy

well i aint keeping the ranger anyways. i just want something in there to have her mobile and working 4x4 for when i sell it . i think me an my brother are goin at it soon so we will see what i get done. hopefully ill have it switched over by tonight. goon put the b2 and the ranger in the garage side by side and ill start tearing it out of the ranger and my brother start tearing out the b2. but plans can always change, might go over there an end up wheelin in the ranger again lol

You should buy slo-vo's D44 setup and put it in the B2

how is it a waste of time? a d35 in the b2 is a waste? im not keeping the ranger anyways so i dont give a damn what axle is in her lol

thought about it, but the po-po would be all over me when i get the b2 on the road.ill be lucky if i get away with the the wheel spacers on 12.50s ill be running

thought about it for a bit. and im not getting the susp lift, im just going to put on my 3" body lift from the ranger, and put in 2" blocks that i have from another ranger and i will make some coil spacers. i got everything to do it now it just gotta all go together lol i already got the body lift off the ranger, i am gonna throw that on her first i think. and i got the 33s pulled off the front of the ranger too. i test fit them on the b2 and a stock height b2 plus 33s equal fail. there is no turning radius lol.
and i got her all sanded off ready for paint, my buddy is going to paint it for me since hes a bodyman and he will do it for free. not decided yet on gloss black or dark dark gray or a satin black
