I am new to the site I have 89 4x4 ranger that is rusted pretty bad and I have found a 2000 to swap bodies with will the dash from my 89 fit in the 2000 to avoid wiring issues.

It won't fit all by itself, but you can very likely make it fit. I put a 96 dash into an 88 cab with a bit of modification and much fitting adjustments.

There are so many small things that you need to measure and consider that it can take much longer to do...pedals and booster, steering column, heater box, computer location, shifter locations, how to support and tighten the dash, and the lights for the front end...

The lights will probably be the easiest, because all you need to do is match the connectors...make sure you get the bulb sockets for all the ligths...and modify them from the 9004 to the 9007 or whatever they used in 2000...

I'm still working through my swap but I have a good excuse for taking so long...drugs...lol

Well I saw a nicely done 2004 dash in an 87, so I'm gonna say probably doable with a bit of fab work.
