Pretty much the last cool cadillac for nearly 2 decades.

I'd love to get my hands on a 65-69 sedan deville 😍 that'll likely never happen though

There was a 69 Continental sitting on the show room floor at the local Ford dealer several years ago. It looked like it belonged on the show room floor. Excellent shape. If I just had the $7000 they were asking for it, and a garage to put it in......

Someone would of loaned you the 7k lol. It probably would of appreciated at a rate that beat the interest you would of paid on the loan too..

No doubt. But one has to be able to repay the loan. Plus, it would be a great shame to park it in my driveway, under the trees, where there's lots of bird poop, leaves, etc.

Disassemble, reassemble in basement 😋

Scored some big fat 5 spoke 17"s for 100$. Wrangler/Gladiator take-offs. Guy had them up for 200$ when I originally messaged him.. but I was (and still sort of am) questioning how well they'll fit. I noticed today he dropped the price to 100$ and jumped on it. Spacers will fix the offset issue (these are +45, stock is apparently either 0 or +6) but I don't know what's gonna be up with hub diameters and whatever else.. if the center bore on these are too small I suppose the spacers might push things out enough so everything's happy.. well see!

I don't NEED to say this I'm sure.. but there's a million wheels that would look better on this car. Not entirely sold on the 5 spoke idea.. however.. I know I want to run 17's on it in the end.. so these will at least work as a test run of sorts, until I can drop the cash on a new set.

spacers should cure a small center hole “problem”. I bought a set for my wheel horse so I could run john deere rims with ag tread tires. (wheel horse rims are very high negative offset) Anyways- for the fun of it I tried a escape wheel on my ranger, I dont like the look but it would work, without the 2” spacer the center hole of the escape rim wouldnt go over the front rotor hub. (and the whole assembly would be tucked in the wheel well too much).

I always thought those jeep wheels were some of the ugliest wheels over ever seen.

Then my wife bought a base ‘21 Subaru. The wheels look like a cheap plastic hub cap because it’s completely flat. No offset.

Did you test fit the tractor tires on the ranger too? Lol I feel like I remember seeing a truck on here with some AG tires on it at some point but I might have just been a dream

They're just means to an end really.

This is what I'll replace the jeep wheels with eventually.. but there's no way I'm spending that sort of money on wheels until the tops been fixed. This way I only have to buy one set of tires.. instead of a set of 15" tires now and then a set of 17s whenever I end up buying the permanent wheels. Thinking ahead.. in some backasswoodsmaine way lol.

Subaru seems to pride themselves on making ugly wheels though for real.. the first crosstreks looked like they had butt-plugs going around the wheel lol.

There was. I don't remember who but they took it to a tractor pull or mud run event iirc. I thought it looked pretty cool...

yes actually, never took it out of the garage and tried them, maybe I should someday, although im sure the a$$ end of my ranger is more than those ‘70’s goodyear terra tires should be able to handle. lol

you want ugly wheels? I still had the hhr snow set and it was cheaper to buy adapters & put them on the ranger vs buying either new rims or 15” winter tires. this size is 215/60/16’s I think. The tires are only a couple of years old, speedometer is 6 mph off.
