So this is only my second post... but here goes:

I have an 84 ranger xl 4x4, and i picked up what is "supposed to be" a 4" suspension lift for it today. Now note: this only cost me 70 bucks. Anyway, I got two sets of "4 inch" lift rough country shocks, one for front and one for back. I also got two pieces. One is supposed to drop the steering, and the other is supposed to mount somewhere near "the bottom of the springs" and lower the trailing arms? All I know is the guy told me this came off a Bronco II the same year as mine. I just wanna know if this is what I'm SUPPOSED to have before I go buy the rear blocks for it tomorrow. If not, how can I lift this truck for mad cheap and 100% safely?

Thanks in advance,
Justin.

You should have 2 coil springs, 2 axle pivot drop brackets, 2 radius arm drop brackets, a pitman arm, 4 shocks and brake lines.

Well I'll take a picture of what I got tomorrow, and e can deduce from there whether it's just a pile of iron or something actually useable. I was looking for a cheap lift.... and i highly doubt everything that you just mentioned is sitting there.

Been busy the last few days but I ended up finding out what it is.. have the steering drop bracket and the crossmember with 4" drop brackets for the (i assume) Radius arm? i also got the four 4" lift rough country shock set -1 front. Seems like it'd be worth my while to just drop the idea of a sus lift and go with coil spacers for now... is a 2" spacer gonna hurt much? I don't wann ahave to spend ridiculous money right now just wanna squeeze some larger tires in on the cheap.
