wow im only gettin 15mpg in my 2.3 duratec... i jus cant believe that going from 31s to 33s would drop my gas milage 5-6mpg its just crazy!! oh well haha at least i can still use 5th and i can still go 80mph haha

Re-gear re-gear RE-GEAR!!!!!

4.10's or go home! :icon_twisted:

Oh well then suck it up and start paying up the ass. Also change your driving style. Go through your gears as quickly as possible and get to your cruising speed as quick as you can. Try to shift right after peak torque. And there is a HUGE difference on MPG's between traveling down the highway at 73-75 and 80. Trucks are NOT aerodynamic, especially ones like yours that are lifted and modified.

i know and i drive how i normally drive haha and i normally go 70, i was jus pointing out that it CAN go 80 haha. she will be stuck like this for a year or two until i do a sohc 4.0 swap :D

this is the truck :D

I can't wait to modify mine. Just give ma a few years when I'm out of college and have a career going. :icon_twisted:

I get 15 with my 4.0 extended cab,4wd on 33s.

I thought the 4 banger guys were getting around 30 mpg.

Mine gets 17-19 without fail. I should have just bought a 4.0 truck..

4 banger guys get 30 stock or lowered... lifted on 33's we get about 15, i wish i woulda started with a 4.oh

I'm dropping down to 31s. The extra height, width and weight isn't worth it to me. When I was wheeling the truck it made sense, but now I don't need them.

I'll be going with a nice 31 that's 10 inches wide.that and a tune up should help out the mpg.

I thought about it,but that extra inch won't help a ton.plus I'll have more options or tires. I'm thinking of going with treadswrights.

The guard dog m/t is supposed to be based on the Goodyear mtr tire. Which are around 200 a tire. I've also read good reviews on them. I might sell off
My 33s and buy new 31s.
