hey if you do the electric to manual transfercase is there any wire hook ups like is there any type of electric clutch on it for shift on the fly?

No. The only wire swap is for the switch on the manual one. There are 2 wires and they indicate if the case is in 4 hi or 4 lo.

screw the wires ...but depending your gen ranger...they have a nice write up on broncoii.org

kool thanks guys, i got into a arguement with the other apprentice at work today who used to own a bronco II and he keeps saying that the 1354 manual isn't really a manual because it uses some type of electric clutch and from all the drawings and pdf's of the 1354 manual i don't see one at all, so theres no clutch right?

no clutch at all...just put your truck in neutral or push in the clutch and you'll be able to engage it no problem.

for your truck, if you've got the auto with the threads on the driverside of the trans tailhousing, you are good to go! all you need to do is swap the case, bolt on your linkage, cut a hole in the floor, bam! done!

if you are a manual...thats a WHOLE nother story.... reason being 01+ speed sensor is in the tailhousing of the trans. Ford only made the manual tailhousing with the threaded bungs for the manual tcase linkage AND the speed sensor in the tailhousing in the 02 and 03 model years, and only on the highest end trucks and only in manual transmission options(02 Fx4 and 03 LevelII).

Only wires or anything electrical on the case would be the gear position switch(2 wires).
