I have an 85 ranger that I did the explorer Dana 35, 8.8 swap. I was wondering if I can swap the 1354 t-case and it bolt up to the 5 speed trans? Do I need to find a 1354 that come with manual tranny or is the automatic the same? I was just wondering what would be the easy way to go. Thanks

The 1354 will bolt up no problem, doesn't matter the tranny, however if it's a manual-shifted case, the shifter linkage itself may not fit correctly. I've heard it's pretty easy to modify though if you have a welder and a little fabrication ability (IIRC, the 1350 shifter doesn't fit either, but again may be modifiable or parts swappable).

its easy as pie. all i did was use my old 1350 link that's bolted to the side(the one with a plastic wheel that the fork goes into) and put on the 1354 and it works great
