Ok, I'm sure this has been gone over before. Or not. Anyways....

I'm working on collecting the correct parts for the doubler I'm putting in my truck. I have a 1350 Manual for the front case, and 2- electric shift 1354s. I really want a manual Tcase for the rear case though.

I have access to like 6 different manual shift t cases, and they are all 1350s. I would have no problem using this case, except that the front output on the 1350 is a slip yoke, and that just doesn't work for me. Does anyone know if I can swap out the fixed yoke from one of the 1354 Electric cases I have and make it work, or do I need to find a whole different 1354 manual case?

Thanks.

Zach

Or you could try and do the final machine work needed on the 1354 to install the 1350 manual shift parts.

If I remember correctly you can see casting marks on a 1356 electric where to drill a hole and the 1350 manual parts should swap into the 1354. Something to look into as when I build my doubler it seemed as the shifting components would swap with some work.

They wont quite swap in. I've built a 13-54 manual using a 13-50 manual and a 13-54E (called it a 13-52 :D ). The main problem is that the 13-54 case is thicker then the 13-50 where the shaft goes through. Not all 13-54s can be machined to be as thin as the 13-50, the internal structure is a little different. It can be done though, if you want to get creative.

I just remembered. I have a brand new front output shaft from a 13-50 STX case somewhere. You can swap that into any 13-50 case and make it a fixed yoke. Let me try to dig it up.
