Looks great. Post some pics of the heads when you are done with them. I wish I would have taken more pictures during my build.

.

Engine pics are so sexy

Is the fuel pump upside down?

.

That water pump aint gonna fit!:icon_confused:
At least not in a Ranger....:D

We shall see about the water pump huh?? :) Anyway, I am building the engine for efficiency, not top power. Everything done is to get the most MPGs from it . I'm running an aluminum 2V intake and jetted 2100. Roller rockers and Durasprak distributor along with an HEI module . . adding to the efficiency goal.

The water pump will fit fine, If you move the rad in front of the grille! :D

Pics of the truck?

And what's the advantage of an using an inverted fuel pump? Just wondering since I've never seen one.

If you do not run an electric pump, then the inverted pump is about the only option you would have. A regular mechanical pump will not fit on most swaps.:icon_thumby:

Who says they have to?

However I have yet to test the effectiveness of the pusher fan... I figured what the heck and tried it, worst case I have to get a different fan blade and a different top hose.

On a 60 degree day idling, the mech temp needle just flinched back and forth at 190 as the stat open and closed. When I get an exhaust on it and the temp gets higher we can do some real testing though, so I still classify this as "experimental"

But the long pump fit fine with a Ex rad mounted in the stock location, I have about 5/8" between the two.

That pump will fit. either 2 core radiator - standard for 3.0 - or custom that projects into the A/C condensor space, rather than back towards the engine, like the 4.0 4-core does. The standard mechanical pump fits on a 1994 steering box style. I've been running these for a year now. Standard rotation pump, right? Your setup looks familiar! I used the brackets off a 79 LTD for the drivers side FEAD, and the crank pulley too. I run the pusher fan. Goodluck, jR

I was talking about the reason you have to use the inverted fuel pump. I can see the water pump working, if you set the engine back far enough.
