1 Ton YJ Crawler build

Not the greatest illustration of it, but this is an example - in this situation my rear especially would push into the passenger side rear, which is likely one of the reasons I wrecked the strut last time. The level it gives a bit more stability and less "push" in this situation

What about making and installing some limb risers to keep the branches from hooking on the horns?

People would get me confused with an overlander!

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't make that assumption. Your rig doesn't scream overlander in any way, shape, or form.

A little hard to see in the photo, but at some point the last time out I must have slashed the sidewall and gotten a small puncture. Sealed it up with a plug, and then glued the slashed flap down with the adhesive from my gluetread patch kit. Seems be to holding air now, or certainly better than before

Cut off the windshield horns and painted them back up

I've got an oil leak I'm trying to chase. Smoking more than I'd like, hope I can figure out where it's coming from. Going to wash some grime off the engine this weekend and see what I can see. Feel like it's coming from the top of the engine somewhere

edit - starting to plan for a 4.8/5.3 conversion. 200k on the 4.0 and there's not much effort i'm willing to do in order to keep that going

Nice lift. Funny-looking Ranger.

First stab at my plan for parts

Shouldn't there be standtion poles on the end of the beam?

That’s one of those new-fangled anti-gravity beams. High dollar stuff right there. Nothing but the best for him.

On that beam in the garage? I'm sure there are on the ends. I only exposed about 8' of it, but that was enough to piss off my wife
Tell her she should be pissed at the builder for hiding it.
