Got my power steering cooler, trans cooler, cooling fan and radiator mounted today. Need to run all the hoses and wire the fan and that should be squared away.

Also mounted the winch, need to pickup some more steel to finish the bumper.

Also stopped at the upullit yard and got some junk driveshafts with 1350 yokes.

looks like u gonna need to lengthen the drag link too

sweet. i like the new color too btw

After two years of running drums on the 14B I finally stepped up to the discs. I already had the calipers from a old project. So it was just the rotors and brackets. Rotors were $20 each and ruff stuff brackets.

Started out the day with doing the water pump. But like most Fords I have one damn timing cover bolt broke off. So looks like I will be getting a timing cover gasket set and gonna doing that as well as the water pump.

Built two rear driveshafts. Went to install my 1310 yoke on the front of the 205 and its larger then the cv style. I need to get a different seal.

Mounted the lap belts, need to get some tub and run a cross brace on the "b" pillar to attach the shoulder straps.

And worked some more on the front bumper thing..

Instead of running the 1310 joint, use a 760 joint. They are the same size, but the 760 is stronger and allows for more angle...

I'll stick with my spicer 1310 :icon_thumby: they have yet to let me down.

I never knew this. Good to know. I've got spare 760's for my front end, and its nice to know I've now got spares for my driveshafts as well.

Lookin good man :icon_thumby:

Not the 5-760x..

The axle joint isn't the same as a 1310 joint like in most driveshafts.

The driveshaft joints is 1.06 x 1.06 Brg. Dia. (1310)

The 5-760x is 1.19 x 1.19 Brg. Dia.

CTB2, I'm not doubting you, just taking info from the tech library...According to that :icon_confused:
1310 (also 297X): The 1310 (shown) is a 1/2 ton u-joint used in driveshafts for many Jeep applications and is retained via external snap rings; the ones that slightly resemble a pretzel. The 297X u-joint is effectively the same size but with internal snap rings used for steering knuckle joints on most Dana 44 and Corporate 10 bolt front axles.

Page 296 shows a 5-760X cap to be 1.188 in diameter

Page 291 shows a 5-153x (1310 driveshaft joint) to be 1.062 in diameter

Trimmed the fender and header to clear the tires better at stuff......I found its really hard to make 104" wheelbase, 40"s tires, and not make it into a BDMT.

Got the radiator installed and hoses ran for that, powersteering, trans lines, mounted the battery, started routing the engine harness. Built the front driveshaft and checked it at full droop for binding. Installed bump stops in the front. etc etc etc
