1-Ton of fun

That cannot be easy to do.... I've never seen anybody do it. At least you know your axleshafts are strong lol

Its only the longside tube that twisted. I think it was because I bent the radius arm which forced the tube to twist.

Well got the eb at the shop got the axle almost twisted back to place. Gonna be good enough. Thankfully my axle is got really good camber/caster adjustments in the upper ball joint.

This thing is really burning me out, I almost listed it for sale last night on classic bronco.

I bent the radius arm straighter, twisted the axle tube back best I could.

I need to replace both front axle seals.
The lock rite has a chip missing from it where it holds a pin in place.
Several front joint clips are MIA and several of the caps I tacked to the ears broke the tacks.

Sounds like all that hard wheeling when it was a Ranger is starting to catch up to it a little.

What was you going to price it for? :D

Just seen the picture on Facebook of the whole front end torn down. What all are you tearing into now?

All torn apart.

Front end all back together, just need to bring my rollers in tomorrow to do the alignment and still need to drain the rear diff yet.

I replaced both axle seals, tacked all eight ujoint caps to the shaft ears, repacked the wheel bearings, removed the right radius arm and straightened back out, twisted the tube just about back in place and welded to the diff housing.

John, you get it all back together yet?

All but the alignment. Just got back from a 4 day long trail maintence trip on Drummond Island.

jeeze.... it almost seems like its time for rockwells or somthing

In the words of Copperhead85, you need to apologize to your truck!! You need to upgrade to 80's or Rocks :D

Ahhh, those axles are pleanty strong, he isn't breaking joints or shafts. It's just time for some reinforcing, maybe a truss or something cool like that.
