1/2 Ton Buggy Build

I had them at the same height the harness bar is now but sitting in the seat it ruined the visibility. But yeah hopefully it will look better porportionally with the black plastic on the sides.

I built mine about 8 or 9 years ago but after I quit working at a steel shop so a good buddy of mine drilled all the holes. And used a grinder for the notches on the first couple of bumpers I built then got smart and bought the jd2 notcher.

Here's mine, it has the harbor freight air over hydraulic ram.

Added some bracing to the rear down bars. The bend looked like a weak point.

I've been thinking about turning my clutch pedal into a second brake.

Thanks, and yeah 2 brake pedals and a twin stick case would be good to have on tight turns.

Mounts for the front of the seats. !.75 to 1.25 down to 1" 3/16 wall dom with 3/8 fine thread weld in adapters. Rear mounts will just be weld on tabs but the front drivers side had to clear the transfer case. If I did another one I would mount the engine and trans about 2 inches lower.

Thanks, I'm trying to stay on it as much as possible but only got out for about an hour and a half tonight. Got some stuff figure out and tacked in some tubes for the rear seat mounts.

Not much work going on, going back to work after being off for 2 weeks is kicking my ass.
But I did get a couple of new toys.
First I got a craftsman 5/8 chick 1hp drill press off craigslist for $50.

Yep 8.8 Grizzly. It will be going in when I do a gear change probably go 5.13 but want to take it out once with the 3.50's. With the granny low first gear I'm not sure 4.56 or 5.13.
