A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
No, NOT an ad for the local "men's clinic"... just that I'm FINALLY getting ready... to really prepare... to probably very soon... dive in and do "The Shifter Bushings Thaaang"... and so of course I'm overthinking it, and making a list of OTHER items I can take care of whilst "the top is off"... like a fluid change... or SPRING MAINTENANCE...?

Thought I was clear on how the 3 springs that run fore-and-aft (behind the leaky plugs) push against the... shift forks?

... but how do the side-to-side "return" springs get accessed/replaced? Did my homework, but Ye Olde thread on this from 2009 didn't reach any useful conclusions...

Maybe youse guys whats done tore 'em down on yer kitchen table...? Springs?... anyone?
