Hello all. Can anyone post photos of the emergency brake cable return spring attachment points? I know the rear attachment point is the bracket attached to the frame, but there is no attachment point going forward. My truck is a 2001 4x4. Thanks!

That’s awesome, thank you for that! I hope I’m not asking for too much, but there is a second spring further back also. It hooks into the frame and attaches to one of the cables I’m assuming. Would you be able to post an image of that as well? Very much appreciated. Thank you!

That's the only return spring

There can be cable hangers so the cables don't hang to low under the bed
This thread has a picture of a cable being held in place by a spring: https://www.therangerstation.com/fo...gency-brake-cable-routing-2001-ranger.108011/
But he is missing the return spring, lol

The cable is inside it's sheath from the equalizer to the inside the brake drum, so there would be no place to put another external "spring" between those 2 points

Thank you so much! I’ll have to go out after the rain stops and take another look at mine. I’m pretty sure that it does not have those 2 holes on the bottom as yours does. I see that yours has an angled opening to allow the spring to easily slide into the hole. And thank you for showing that other spring. I guess it just keeps the cable positioned close to the frame.

This is the part that the spring would attach to. As you can see, there are no holes or designated attachment points.

I still don’t see a point of attachment for the front part of the spring. Any other photos of that attachment location would be greatly appreciate. Thanks
