My credo
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Plan for it as best you can.
I'm sick of that color. I've seen it so much over the past year. You seldom see it in its other colors.

truck looks awesome. color is fine for me, reminds me of the burnt-orange I always wanted on a 65 Mustang. (I never got one)

$3.59/9 a gallon for 87 ??? right now on Gas-Buddy, the HIGHEST price in Toledo is $2.10/9 that even makes the $3.17/9 look ridiculous.

I agree with Jim. I was never much of a fan of the burnt orange to begin with and every time you turn around, there's another one.

Regardless of color, truck seemed like it did decent off road. My 94 gets 17, but the 19 can tow much more, is faster, and STILL gets a few extra mpg

I don’t mind the engine really, I just really wish it came in a manual. I love bangin gears in mine

All the other colors have been boring on the full-size trucks for years.

It’s common on the new ranger but is a refreshing change of pace from the rest of the ford lineup. IMO color options are sorely lacking.

Ranger has Red (extra $400 option), blue, orange and then various shades of gray.

F-150 has two blues, three reds (one is a $400 option again) and for added variety 6 shades of gray.

Meanwhile in Toyota land they actually have unique colors with non metallic options.

Still no green though. :annoyed:

Color schemes are definitely lacking unless you like gray, grey, or grae. Really, no Deep Forest green, or Do-Do brown. what the florida, FORD?

Colors must be determined by some secluded marketing people. It seems to have no rhyme or reason. I understand if a color just doesn't sell. But working in an auto manufacturing paint shop, I know how easy it is to offer different colors. We have over 20 different color systems plumbed up to our robots right now. But we don't offer that many colors yet. We're also making preparations to paint matte clear coat. So that will double our color combinations. That change is requiring some equipment changes. We seem to be progressing toward offering more and more color options in the future. But right now, we don't offer green either and I like green.

IIRC a neutral color like gray is supposed to have the best resale value so I wonder if people opt for that over being unique and getting a color they actually like.

that would force a delete of the trail control option. on the other hand, you could pretend you're a big rig when shifting every 2 seconds with a 10 sp manual. :icon_thumby:

going up against the "wrap" market??

its kind of funny that there are no greens,,, back in the day the first gen Taurus SHOs mostly were green. it wasn't long before "but it's green" became the standard response to for sale adds. so maybe Ford did listen?

Toyota offers "A-Track" on their manual transmission trucks.

Much like the Crawl-Control/Trail-Control, just the traction control part of it without the cruise control.

Grey might be good for "re"sale but what about the initial sale. I just thought that all the guys buying new trucks were just un-original and thought " Hey , that guy has a grey truck, I want a grey truck too"
Again Ford is probably "waiting" to see how sales are before the give us different colors of the prizm. I know some of you are waiting for that purple STX model to hit the showrooms.(sarcasm)

Gotta have the right graphics to go with it too :icon_twisted:
