09 ranger ?'s regarding lift & brush guard

hey guys i am hoping someone can answer some of my questions regarding my 2009 ford ranger 2.3L 2wd pickup.

Question 1: I recently purchased a brush guard for my ranger. the place i took it too put it on and everything but im wondering why my front bumper is sitting lower than it usually is. if you look at the one end of the front fender flare you can see the gap between that and the bumper. is it supposed to be like that?

Question 2: I was interested in getting a 3" body lift too for my 09 ranger and don't know were to go. does anyone know where i can get one?

I got my PA body lift from Summit.

maybe they lowered the bumper to fit the brush guard.

if you put the body lift on the brackets will make your bumper useless to bump things and your brush guard will sit lower so you will have to make brackets to move that up. i understand that body lifts are cheap but why not just save up and get a SL

^^Ditto, especially since he's a 2wd coilspring truck where he can get spindles for it!!! Bodylifts are alot more accepted on the 4wd trucks because hte cheapest suspension lift for it is $1700 now.


I'm thinking whoever installed the brushgaurd didn't adjust the bumper properly. Usually the gap is only about 1/2-3/4". Loosen up the bumper bolts, readjust, tighten nuts, done.

i got my lift spindles for 225 which is the same if not cheaper than a body lift
