03 Ranger ran removal?

Having trouble getting my fan off for the elect fan conversion,any suggestins on holding the pully solid

Put the belt back on it and get an open end wrench and tap the wrench over and over with a bfh.. It will come loose after only a few taps..

which way to turn the bolt ,by view behind the wheel or layin over the radiator?and ive tried with the belt on it slipped with no loosning

The pressure of the fan tightens the nut! So look at the fan and which way the blades must turn to get air into the engine area and then turn the nut backward from that.

The fan is left hand thread, so it's "righty loosey, lefty tighty". Basically, if you're in front of the engine, turn it clockwise to loosen it.
