I've been wanting to replace my 60/40 bench for a while now. I read that 2001 Explorer seats are bolt in, but I got a deal on these 2002 Explorer seats ($20 for both seats!).

I don't like power seats, and my interior is grey - so these seats couldn't be better... except I'm clueless and don't know how to proceed, any suggestions?

There aren't any bolts anywhere, and where it would bolt to the floor, the front part of these are flat and on the Ranger it's more vertical.

you are going to have to do some custome fabrication on this job. the seat racks that hold your current seats in are integrated into the recline and tilt mechanisms, plus the racks are fairly narrow. if you remove the racks you have to grind off all of the tilt mechanisms and brackets. i learned this the hard way and my girlfriend had to ride on the floor for 3 months. if you had a 97 or older the seat racks would have unbolted and bolted up directly to those new seats, the racks and tilting mechanisms were independent on the older trucks.
