So I got this because I have a crap ton of wiring coming from my battery. I was going to get one for car audio but found this one that has the digital display. Anyone have one of these? Anyone know how much power it draws when truck is not running? I can't find much info on these. They have tiny wires so I'm sure the draw isn't much especially if I'm driving it everyday. I just wanted some more info on this. I was planning on wiring the hot wire for the display to the ignition so it only comes on when key is on but I figure if it is barely drawing anything then I wouldn't worry about it being on when key is off. Here is a pic.

Yes, it links the flux capacitor to the sprocket locket located behind the spindle damper. Ok so I should have gave a little more info. This is a battery terminal with a digital display. Anyone who does car audio knows about these. Very handy when you have a lot of wires going to your battery like 4 gauge amp power wire, fog lights, switches, etc. This makes it where you can easily add more wires to your battery without the hassle of loosening the terminal. I was going to get a basic one then I saw this one with a display for $3 more. So I have had it on a test battery for an hour and 20 minutes and it has stayed at 12.3 volts. so far so good.

Just run a quick amp draw test on it. If its under 100ma you will be fine unless you leave your truck sitting for long periods. Disconnect the positive terminal(s) that go to anything on the actual truck so just the gizmo itself is connected to the positive battery terminal, then use a multimeter on 2amp setting between the ground wire from the gizmo to the negative battery terminal. This will give you the gizmos current draw.

So let it sit on a test battery for 24 hours exactly and the battery voltage dropped from 12.3 to 12.2. So a 0.1 drop over 24 hours isn't bad since I drive this 5-7 times a week I wouldn't worry about it draining my battery unless it was sitting for a while. I am just going to put a fuse between the ground wire so I can kill it if I know the truck will be sitting for more than a week.
