I'm getting my 2021 FX2 ready for the road and purchased a dash cam (not the Ford offering) that I need to install. I can plug it into the power port but would like to hard wire the power leads to keep things out of site. The camera package came with plugs that can go into the fuse box under the dash but they recommend using a switched source. There was an optional accessory fuse/switch option I could have ordered with the truck but didn't. Anyone have a good switched source in the cab? Thanks!!

They have several different fuse block taps.

Get out your test light and test the fuse block to find a Key ON source.

Thank you! I checked a few and only found taps that were "on" continually. I'll check them all. Thanks again.

Thank you U.G., you were right. Some of the fuses turn on with the switch but have a time delay before turning off. Did find one that goes on and off with the key switch and it's even listed as a spare. Thanks again.

Here is a color-coded diagram I made w hen hooking up my CB and RD. I ended up using 37 for the CB, I think, 23 for the RD? I'd have to go look to be sure.

I've been running my radios straight to the battery for power and a convenient screw to supply the ground. I am getting to the point where I need to look at getting a dedicated fused power block to hook into. The power block would be hooked directly to the battery and the accessories to the block. Either behind/under the rear seat or under one of the front seats. I haven't gotten that far in the thought process.
