I am currently knee deep in a project I've been wanting to do for a while which is narrowing the rear and lowering the truck. Photos are before I started on it. I am almost finished with the rear. I shortened the Explorer 8.8 three inches to tuck the wheels in some and flipped the axle to the top of the springs. So far its turning out well but I am needing to get shocks for the rear and weld the shock mounts on to the tubes. Then it will be on to the front. The help I am needing is what shock is needed? I contacted a fairly common company that offers lowering parts but they were not much help. Has anyone done this swap and if so what shocks did you find to work well? Also on the front there seems to be a lot of differing views but I am assuming the DJM bars are going to give me the drop needed to be close to what the rear will be? Any insight, thoughts or criticism would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get the parts coming asap so i can get it back on the road. I almost forgot tire size recommendations as well would be great
