- If it can't be fixed by me, matches and gasoline will fix it....
So I have a small issue with my oil filter.... I took my oil filter off about 4 months ago while I had my Ranger sitting on jack stands as I was changing all the old seals like trans pan, shifter arm, and oil pan.... Well I got super busy at work and the truck sat on the jacks.... I was doing all the work in my dads garage, and he decided to tidy up a bit and threw my old filter away, and the one the parts store gave me was wrong, so I went and exchanged it, and all of the filters all of the parts stores had in their systems were wrong, and I looked it up on the internet and it was coming up with the same numbers.... I am by no means a rookie at mechanic work, I've been doing every aspect of it since I could hold a wrench.... So the dilemma I am having is that I don't know the old filter number so I am kind of stuck.... My truck is a 1990 Ranger custom, regular cab, 2wd, with a 2.9L V6 engine.... Can somebody give me a filter number that will work????
