I just changed the Speedometer/cluster in my 2007 Ford ranger four-wheel-drive automatic with a 4 L. I had to change the cluster because the needle quit moving on the Speedometer. Now when I turn the key on and try to start it, the security light is flashing. Do I need to have the key reprogrammed or what do I need to do? Somebody please help

2004+Later Rangers+SportTracs, have HybridElectronicControls\HEC,
meaning InstrumentCluster & PCM\ECU are 'married' via firmware at the factory\dealership;
no start allowed if unique coding in InstrumentCluster does not match coding in PCM\ECU.
2003+Earlier pre-HEC InstrumentClusters were relatively easy to swap out,
an advantage for an honest owner\mechanic doing legit maintainence;
of course this was\is abused by questionable characters swapping in low mileage OdoMeters\Clusters.

Update 11/1/23: I met the local mobile locksmith in the Costco parking lot this evening. I drove the truck in there with the original cluster in it then I switched it there in the parking lot. The locksmith hooked his machine up to the OBD port, and he reset the computer. The speedometer works great!!!
