So the circuit board on the back is the same?Yes
1996 thru 2003 Rangers and Mazda B-series used the same clusters and wiring for the clusters
All were also wired for Tachometers, so with or without Tach Cluster is plug and play, so you can add a cluster with a Tach
Black face or White face clusters are the same
Check bulbs for indicator lights, i.e. a 2WD cluster may not have bulbs in the 4WD indicator slots, if you need that
THEFT light bulb is the only other bulb that can be specific to year
Thank you for letting me know. I have found the circuit board as an individual part that can be easily separated from the backside and due to the fact that mine is wavier than fresh bacon I’m gonna replace it. And after seeing a price difference of $70+ between the 2000 and the 2001, this makes me happy! Thank you again!Yes, the same as far as how they connect together if that what you are asking
You can Google: 2000 Mazda B-series instrument cluster
There will be a few for sale on ebay and they will have pictures of the rear
Then Google: 2001 Mazda B-series
And see the back
Or Ranger in similar years
You generally don't part out a cluster, it can be a real pain to get the speedo and tach needles back on and calibrated
And some of the other gauges
Better to just swap the whole cluster, and in that respect 1996 thru 2003 are interchangeable, Ranger or Mazda B-series
