Will a box from a 2010 ranger fit my 2008 ranger?

Yes. To match your body lines, any bed from 93-2011 will fit. But the 83-92 beds will bolt up too. Rear bumpers changed between stepside and fleetside and length could be 6’ or 7’, so you have to make sure you get the right length bed, but yea

You just won't use all 10 bolts in the bed of the 2010 on your 08

I'm pretty sure the 08 only has 8 bolts holding the bed down

I dont know why they increased the bolt count to hold the bed on, 6 is plenty. Granted doing so makes the bed more of a structural item than just a area to put stuff. Maybe they lowered the crossmember count in the newer rangers to drop curb weight and needed the bed to be structural.
