My credo
A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
GM has probably similar torque, more hp and if like most GM's in my area the lack of rockers and wheel arches probably makes it lighter. Newer trans is probably more efficient.

If his frame can take it you are probably in for a hurting.
Actually....

My truck is 500 lbs lighter.
Has 60,000 less miles.
....and has considerably more torque (400-410@2200rpm (depends on who youre reading) vs 365@3600rpm).

According to the curve charts i make his max torque at idle.

He does have me beat in HP pretty bad (245/265 (depending on what youre reading) vs his 345).

I dont know, i was just asking for fun. Empty i really wasnt sure. Loaded im 99% sure id get him.

There is no situation where the 460 in your truck could compete with that 6.0.

You have 245hp and he has 360hp. He is going to clean you out in any situation. You have a small torque advantage, but it's not a real advantage. He makes a little less torque, but he makes a lot more of that little less torque.

There is no place where that 460 can match that 6.0 except in your heart.

I dont nessacerly buy that. But im not turning this into an arguement.

I dont see how 30 or 40 ftlbs 1500rpm lower in the rev range isnt an advantage, espicially if we are doing this loaded.

His is old enough (02) not to have VVT or other wizardry.
