Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but my father's f150(2wd, v6) is a step away from becoming a pile of rust. So I'm wondering what, if any, parts could i save off the f150 as backup(or upgrade?) parts for my ranger.

possibly rear springs and hangars. cut off any large, flat areas of good sheetmetal to use as patch pieces for your truck. pull the glass and sell it. same with little parts like door handles, mirrors, interior pieces, lights, ignition switch (sell the door locks with it so you have a matching set). you can probably sell off enough little parts to help you buy stuff for your truck.

I would restore it because a 1993 V6 F150 must be pretty rare lol jk

This is true, Ford put a 3.8l essex V6 in the F-150,But it was introduced in 1982 and dropped in 1983. So it would still be a pretty rare truck. But yes this truck is an inline 6 300.

i don't think they are interchangeable because they have different parts numbers but it might work.

if i where you and the engine looked good in the f150 i would pull it because the I6 is one of the most reliable engines ford made and you can never have enough spare engines

plus straight six ranger = badass
