The engine just stopped going down the road. I had it brought to the house until I could troubleshoot it. I was going to start with the ignition module but so far I've been unable to find it. All the guides that I've found refer to it being on the intake manifold or around it. Still no find. I've found a wiring diagram out of the 1996 Mazda B2300 shop manual showing the crankshaft sensor wires going straight to the PCM on the right side of the firewall but not going through an ignition module, yet my local auto parts store says it should have the ignition module somewhere. I'm sort of at a loss unless someone out there has the same model and knows for sure if it does or doesn't have the ignition module. I'm going back out with a small handheld mirror so I can look around under the intake and around the motor. If I don't find it soon, I am going to take the PCM connector loose and see if I can find the wires it says goes to the crank sensor and ohm them out.
