Well I went into Sportsmans today to buy primers and left with a scope

VX-III 6.5-20x40LR. side focus(awesome) 30mm tube and the varmint hunters dueplex.

I had a 3-9x40 on this .243 but It wasnt quite enough to consistantly pull the accuracy that this gun is capable of.

Also swapped over to the Leupold DD rings and bases. Had to use a high ring though because thats was all they had. It doesnt look as good but doesnt seem to affect me at all.

Not exactly fond of the recticle but I dont see it as being an issue either.

Before with the Nikon

After today

What the gun is capable of doing with the 3-9x40 on it. 5 shots @ 100yrds, sandbags for a rest. Yes I choked and pulled the last shot:bawling:

i'm not a real gun nut so i have to ask where the CZ(brand?) stands compared to other makes?
They are supposed to be pretty good, I have never been around them though. Judging by their pricing they are fairly proud of them.

When I was looking into buying my CZ P-01, I did a LOT of research. I've read many articles and forums on these guns. You'd be hard pressed to find negative feedback on them. They are considered by many to be one of the best 9's ever made. Ranked right up there with Sigs and H&K's. Considering they are hundreds less than of either of those guns I'd say that's quite an accomplishment. Seems like a lot of people that buy one CZ end up buy others in different styles/calibers. This is what just some of the things I've read. I cant say much about mine so far as I've only put 100 rounds through it. I do really like it though. It's accurate, easy to clean/disassemble, fits my hand extremely well and I think it looks great also.

I'm finally situated back in Wisconsin. I'm limited to dial up, so picture size and quality is crap. But here are a few other guns of mine, including my M1 garand.

My Ruger 10/22.

My Marlin 336w 30-30.

And of course, the M1 Garand.

CZ

I have experience with only one CZ product and that's a

Durango coach gun, 12ga, internal hammers, single trigger, 20" barrels and come with a full set of chokes.

Fit and finish is excellent, color case hardened frame, brass inlay, factory engraving and beautiful furniture.:icon_thumby:

Hey Duster, I'm diggin' that NM front sight on the M1, did yours come from the CMP?

I got mine from them it's a SA in the 1.3 range (Feb 1942) rack grade, mixmaster, most parts are SA, the bolt is a Winchester but that's fine, I'm going to have it reblued, and I already have a new Boyd's stock for it. There's a pic of it somewhere earlier in this post.

I believe mine was a CMP garand at one time. It's got NM front and rear sights, and a glass bedded stock. Could possibly be a NM rifle. I bought it at a little gun shop in the middle of nowhereville Ohio. It was one of the best looking garands i've found anywhere, that wasn't a complete rebuild or one of the newer springfield armory ones. I couldn't believe how many garands in beat to hell condition, with loose and worn unoriginal parts, were still being sold at outrageously high prices. There was one next to mine which had a different shade of wood for each stock piece, and the stock was falling apart. It had mismatched parts, all different makes, and the barrel was shot out. Only about 200 less than mine. Oh yeah, and the sling was taped on...

Sweetness, so you have an 03-A3 and a Garand just like me.:icon_hornsup:

Are you looking for an M1 Carbine like me too?:thefinger:

I've also been eyeing up a 1919A4. Talk about fuuuuun. :headbang:

The two I couldn't add previously.

My 30-30

Ted Williams Model 100 in 30-30 win. Sold through Sears Roebuck. Winchester model 94 Clone. Shoots pretty good with the open sights but I want to get a peep sight and front fire sight.

My 44 mag

I'd have to say this one is my most prized. Among other things it's the first one (only one) I purchased. It is a 6.5" barrel, .44 mag Taurus Tracker. It's one not many people have, and few more even knew existed.

Yep give ma a few.

The newest addition, AR-15 5.56 w/ 20" barrel, and flattop upper, and Sportsman's Guide Rail Mount Bipod. Future plans for it, put on a low power intermediate eye relief scope, otherwise leave it as is until I get reloading equipment and some stuff done around the house.

The shotgun is the same one posted in previous picture with new 18.5" barrel installed. I want to get a black synthetic stock and fore grip to install on it but probably won't.

Next Purchase:

But who knows when that'll be.
