So, I have a 6.0 in my storage from some time ago.
I also originally planned on a 302 swap from an Explorer/Mountaineer, into my 98 Ranger- I have motor mount plates from Ricks and the 4.0 frame mounts (to replace the 2.5 weaker mounts). And an early 80s dual snorkel 302HO air cleaner... Since then, I discovered the 6.0 swap/ I would need a 4L80 trans, and the 8.8 rearend I will need.
My Main concern is- I want my air conditioning. It is a Must, for me.
I believe there is an easy way to swap the 351 in and keep air.
But I can't find any info about what it would take to put AC in a 6.0-swapped Ranger. I have the info to build a 495hp/450 lb. torque 6.0, without much effort. The Holley Sniper would be the high-cost factor here, around $1,000. And a good cam/lifters/rockers.
I don't know how much streetable power I can make with a 351W. But I should be able to use the Rick's motor mounts/plates, am I right?
Thoughts?
