Ok so I have two dash cams, one front and one rear. They run independentantly not connect to each other. Each one has a 32GB SanDisk extreme pro card rated for 4k video (tested them and they are NOT counterfeit) both speed and size match the specs.

Ok so the cams are set on loop record so they automatically just erase the oldest video and keep recording and they work fine if you watch the videos on the cameras but the screens are tiny and basically just made to adjust settings not really to review video.

I pop the card out and they absolutely won't work on any Android device. It recognizes the card was inserted, but I get an error that says something like "unsupported format" and won't even open any files. However they work perfectly fine in my windows laptop.

This is an issue because if I'm in an accident I'm not gonna have my laptop and if I need to show the video to a cop I need them to work in my phone.

So I formatted the cards in FAT32 directly in my android phone and then reinstalled them in the cameras, tested again and one worked flawlessly (it records in .AVI format) and one would read the card fine but the videos were in ".MOV" format and wouldn't play. Ok so figured that out by downloading VLC media player and now both cards and both video formats play great.

Then I go to reinstall the cards and let the cameras run again just to double check. Rear cam running fine, reads fine on the phone, videos play great. But now the front camera shows it's recording but I pull the card and there is NO video files on it at all. Tried to reformat and try again, still no video. It shows it's recording but nothing is on the card, it doesn't even show any memory was used!!!!

I'm getting really frustrated here pulling cards in and out and testing videos and at this point it's worthless to even have them if I can't trust the damn thing is gonna have the videos when I need it!

Any ideas?

Nope. I’ve had similar issues with cards in my GoPros. Currently using the cards you mentioned and they seem to be working. But I don’t completely trust them. I have had even worse issues with cards in Samsung phones in the past. I’ve given up on using cards in my phones.

What brand traffic cams are you using?

The rear cam is a Uniden so a decent brand but an older model. The front is a cheap Chinese one called "apeman" but before trying to modify the cards it did work good.... I would love to blame the Chinese but I'm pretty sure this is a card issue.

So... Just buy ANY windows phone?

Still doesn't fix the problem with the front cam no longer recording data to the card....

Holding a cigarette out the window with one hand while trying to back into a tight parking spot with the other hand is easier with a suicide knob... Prove me wrong.

Cantaloupe

Nope. That argument won’t work this time. I think you’re actually right.

Per the By-laws the argument has been anti-cantalouped. Motion passed. Suicide knobs work.

Wait... Something about fixing my SD card comes to mind....

But let's also stare deeply at the glory of my explorer console that color matches my seats first... The passenger seat is filthy cause my dad sat in it after sitting in bay mud while crabbing.

I didn't ask for your life story, just answer the question!

If cantaloupe is always an acceptable argument, what would be the correct way to agree.
