Got them to include a 2.5" level which they ordered today. Hopefully the end of the week / the beginning of next it will get installed.

About to order some tires and an exhaust, of course (again wallet.. sorry)

Looks good. I'd go with the XL model as well but with the super cab so I could get the longer bed, 4x4 and locking differential. Don't need too much really...the standard features on most of today's vehicles is far more than sufficient...I mean just go jump in my 87 Ranger then jump in a new one and tell me the stuff in the new base model isn't plenty of nice upgrades LOL. Love my 87 Ranger long bed, but I foresee a new Ranger in the near future...maybe not for a few more years but definitely on the horizon, that or a new F150 extended cab XL with the Coyote V8.

They are in demand, so there isn't much room to haggle. So, yes, pretty much what they are listing. It hurts. I don't know how the guys buying the Super Duties do it. They must not have much in other bills or they are independently well off.

Even a lease would be expensive I'd think. I was thinking that everyone is probably just leasing these and the Super Duties, but IDK. Most of the new Super Duty trucks I see running around where I live are fully loaded and just very large family sedans, so obviously not work trucks. I'd have to side with they're pretty well off, I can't imagine the payments on a $50K+ truck...my 08 Tundra was $586/mo for 5 years, on $29k or somewhere close to that if I recall, it was too long ago LOL. So with today's prices on trucks probably at least double that to $1100/mo or more....OUCH, that's 3 of my mortgage payments. Once the house is paid off in 22 years, I may be able to look at a new truck...well we all know by that time we will be walking because nobody will be able to afford a car let alone the payments or gas. Out in the country where I live there isn't a single EV charging station anywhere...I don't even know if there are any in Boise. I guess there are 2 but they're 40 miles away, and in very high traffic areas so they're probably always in use. Although that's 22 years from now, so I'm going to imagine the EV charging stations will probably be more widespread. Although the Tesla claims 300+ miles on a charge that wouldn't be too bad I don't hardly ever go that far, maybe that many miles in a couple weeks combined LOL. If it weren't for the ridiculous price of those electric cars I honestly wouldn't mind having one for work since I only work 4 miles from home. If it weren't for the dang hill coming home I'd ride a bike most of the year LOL...honestly wouldn't mind that either if I could get a moped or something to have the engine assist for going up the hill.

the higher the prices on cars go the longer the terms get. That way when the salesmen says “how much do you want to spend a month?” They can make it work.

That seems about right. Some car loans are approaching a 1 decade span now LOL. The car has done blown up long before you have it paid off. The thing is how many people are actually buying? VS How many are just leasing as they love never ending car payments I guess. I guess the positive to that never ending car payment is the vehicles are always under warranty that you are driving, but at what point do you say enough is enough renting cars LOL.

Hell, my mortgage is down to about $24k LOL. Which is why I only pay about $300/mo...it was only a $35k mortgage to begin with. Hell of a lot cheaper than rent which is way over $1,000/mo now and that's for a 2 bedroom if you are lucky.

My grand parents bought the house with 2 acres in 1988 for $38,000. Mom bought it from my grandfather about 8 years ago, so when she passed away I took over so I have about 22 years remaining on the mortgage, on a $220k house and 1 acre. Grandparents sold the other acre several years ago. The property has skyrocketed in price in the past few years. At this rate by the time I retire the $40k house/property will be worth 1/2 a million or more. I look for the market to take a huge crash here in the next few years though as it always seems to do every few decades.

22 The mortgage was only started 8 years ago when my mom bought the place from my grandfather. So 22 years left, according to the bank but little do they know it won't be that long, maybe 2-3 years if not sooner.

When my grandparents bought the farm (ok,purchased) in 1949, approx 250 acres and the homestead it was valued at about 25,000. At the time of grandma’s death in 2001 (my grandfather died from luekemia in ‘57) the land (excluding the homestead and surrounding 60 acres) was valued at 424,000. What I find amazing besides the increase in land value is that the original note on the property was paid off before my grandfather had died.
I remember the first rangers being under 10K, and at that time you could find a decent used vehicle for 300/500 that could go several more years, now 1,000 won’t hardly buy you more than junk.
