disciplerocks's B2 build thread

i thought you were trying not to drop the trans again?

but since the slave is inside the bellhousing how can you get at the slave without droppin the trans

The quick disconnect and bleeder screw stick out the side.

First off, nice build. It really makes me want to fix mine up.
And second i figured i would let you know how i bleed mine since I did the clutch in mine about 2 weeks ago. I just cracked the bleeder and let it sit for about 2 hours. and came back and refilled the reservoir every now and then. then i tightened the bleeder and pumped it up for a bit (it took a while to pump it up). Once i had pressure i got my uncle to push the clutch to the floor and hold it while i cracked the bleeder. Pumped it up agin and haven't had a single problem with it since.

When you release the clutch pedal, let it up with a good thump. Works the same as tapping on the line. :icon_thumby:

Guys just came and picked up my 2.9. $200 in my pocket and no haggling :yahoo:

Project coin! Good for you! See you got some responses on scrapper that donor too!!

I kinda made it worth it though. I gave them the motor complete with all accessories, clutch, pressure plate, starter, y-pipe, and the ecu.

At least you got some $$ and got rid of some inventory laying around the parts bins :icon_thumby:

Ok the clutch is really getting to me.

Easiest way I have found to do it and works everytime and dont need a helper is pull quick disconnect loose and leave it unhooked and just keep pumping up the pedal until you can mash it anymore. Dont mash on it hard or you will blow all the seals out but as it works all the air out it started getting hard further off the floor and when you can push it down at all is when you know you got all the air out of it. Tapping on the line everyonce in a while also helps get the air bubbles out.

Then after its solid right when you push it just connect it back up and you good to go. Ive dont it numerous times like this and didnt even have to touch the bleeder screw on the slave.

I tried this. Didn't work.

So I removed the master from the firewall, angled it up, and tried bench bleeding it while in the truck. Still nothing.

Did you try Gregg's vacuum bleeder?? If that don't work, then you will need a second person to assist
